Egyptian Association Week at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA)

Alexandria, 2 January 2006- During March 2006, the BA will organize an event entitled, Egyptian Associations Week. Dr. Ismail Serageldin, the Director of the Library of Alexandria, stated that this week aims at interconnecting Egyptian Scientific Associations, and promoting the role of civil society in cultural and scientific life. Dr. Serageldin added that during this week different scientific associations are encouraged to share their future vision on the future of science in Egypt and their role in enriching it.

To date, several associations expressed their willingness to participate in the event, including: The Scientific Association for Political Economics, Statistics, and Legislation, The Administrative Engineering Association, The Scientific Association on Food Industry, The Technological and Human Development Association, The Egyptian Association for Maintenance and Development of Wild Life, and The Egyptian Association for Environmental Development.
