Workshop on Supporting the Civil Societies and Activating their Roles

Alexandria, 24 November 2005—The Dialogue forum, an affiliate to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, is organizing a workshop on supporting the civil societies and activating their roles, 24-25 November 2005.
Over the course of the two-day workshop, three main panels of discussion will take place exploring the promotion of the civil society in the Arab world, the role of civil society under the current changes, and means of reform and enhancing strategy of civil societies. The workshop brings together representatives of civil society organizations and thinkers, they include Mr. Mohsen Awad, Assistant Secretary-General, Arab Organization for Human; Dr. Mohsen Youssef, BA Director’s Advisor; Dr. Osama Al-Ghazali Harb, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Siyassa Al-Dawliya; Dr. Yehia El Gamal, Professor of Law, Faculty of Law, Cairo University; Ambassador Abd El Raouf El Reedy.
