The Manuscript Museum’s Chemistry and Environmental Monitoring Section has finished its second course for the Ministry of Antiquities’ trainees, which was held during 17–20 August 2014 and was titled “The Chemistry of Archaeological Documents (Manuscripts)”.

This course is one of the six training courses undertaken by the section to raise the efficiency of antiquity inspectors, who are present at archaeological outlets in Egypt, to preserve Egypt’s antiquities, mainly rare manuscripts and books, from trafficking. The course was held for four continuous days, during which the attendants joined many scientific lectures in addition to practical training.

The third course will be held during October of this year.
