Call for Abstracts: ICIL- Africa 2024

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina International Communication Section (ICS), in cooperation with North-West University (NWU), the University of Pretoria, and the Association of African Universities - North Africa Regional Office (NARO), is pleased to announce its 1st call for abstracts for the 3rd round of the International Conference on Information Literacy ICIL- Africa 2024, which is hosted by the BA, for the first time in Egypt and North Africa. Submission types include the following categories: individual papers and posters, PechaKucha, the doctoral forum, and panel discussions.

The deadline for submitting the abstracts is 15 March 2024.

This round will take place from 14 – 17 October 2024, at the BA Conference Center, under the theme “Information Literacy Revolution… Get Ready!” It will shed light on the innovations in the field of library information science and related domains. It will bring to the table of discussion several trending and emerging topics that matter to librarians and researchers, such as digital inclusion, smart libraries and the inclusion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in different contexts related to libraries and information literacy.
