The BA Participates in the International Day of Disabled Persons

Alexandria— The BA Young People's and Children's Libraries, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Asdaa Association, and Sporting Club will celebrate the International Day of Disabled Persons on Monday, 3 December 2007.

The celebration will include a tour of the Library for disabled children including VISTA, Culturama, the Planetarium Science Center (PSC), and the Alexploratorium, followed by theatrical performances, artistic workshops, drawing, reading, and other activities for disabled children.

The United Nations started celebrating the International Day of Disabled Persons on 3 December in 1993, with the aim to help understand the problems related to disability and to support the rights of disabled persons all over the world.
