European Vibes Exhibition at the BA

Posted on

Alexandria— The BA Young People’s Library is hosting the JEF Europe's exhibition, entitled European Vibes from 18 - 23 November 2007. The exhibition is displayed for the first time outside Europe, exclusively at the BA. The exhibition sparks the intercultural dialogue on Europe through the BA —Egypt’s window to the world.

European Vibes is an online project aiming at fostering dialogue among young European citizens on the vibes that make up what youngsters care about today. The first part of the project was an online multimedia competition collecting the photo, the picture, the animation, the sound or video file best describing the essence of what Europe means to young people today. In the second phase of the project, the winning contributions of the European Vibes competition are made accessible to a wider public through local events and exhibitions, taking place in all EU member states.

JEF Europe, a European Youth NGO with an estimated 35,000 members across 30 countries of Europe, currently engaged in a pan-European project alongside other European civil society groups, entitled "Speak Up Europe".

The Exhibition is held at the Main Library Entrance.
