Egyptian Intellectuals Meet at the BA

Alexandria— the BA will hold its annual meeting, known as “Intellectuals Parliament” on 26-27 December 2006, comprising senior Egyptian scholars and intellectuals, as well as members of the BA Advisory Committees.
The intellectuals meeting is a tradition of the BA during which new ideas and feedbacks are collected from participants after briefing them on the activities, projects, and achievements of the BA for a whole year. The BA believes in the necessity of reviewing, criticizing, and assessing its work to achieve its local, regional, and international mission.
Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the BA will attend the meeting along with Dr. Khaled Azab, Director of the BA Media Department, and a group of media men, namely: Tahani Halawa, Head of Nile Specialized Channels, Gamal El-Shaer, Head of Nile Cultural Channel, Abdel Latif El-Manawy, Head of News Sector, Egyptian TV, and Chief Editors of Egyptian Newspapers, such as Salah Eissa, Mohamed Ali Ibrahim, Magdy El-Dakak, Mohamed Barakat, Khaled Imam, and Mounir Amer.
