The BA Sennari House (Cairo) is organizing the handicrafts for women initiative, which aims to help women start their own craft businesses by teaching them several handicrafts. The initiative will also hold an exhibition and a seminar about proper nutrition in addition to the workshops.
The initiative is being led by a group of artists, such as Hagar Hamdi, an expert in the art of copper jewelry; Heba Anwar, a canvas-printing expert; Mona el-Sebaei, a crochet expert; and Khaled Abdel Maguid, a patchwork expert.
