Donations from Spain to the BA

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina welcomed Dr. Mohamed Ezz El-Din, Founder and President of the Academy of Ancient Egyptian Civilization in Spain, and Mr. Hamdy Zaki, tourism consultant in Spain, accompanied by a delegation of 32 members from Spain.

The delegation presented the Bibliotheca Alexandrina with a valuable collection of 58 Spanish books on art, culture, and Egyptology, including the satirical literary work Los Sueños by Francisco de Quevedo, two parts of the novel Les Misérables in Spanish, a book on sports among Pharaonic women in Arabic, and a book on the history of international art.

The delegation toured the BA, including the Main Reading Area, exhibitions, and museums, where they learned about the cultural and scientific services and projects offered by the Library. They expressed their admiration for the cultural and intellectual role played by the Library in promoting dialogue among civilizations and spreading knowledge.
