New Panels in the Under Water Archeology Exhibition

Posted on

The Under Water Archeology (UWA) Exhibition represented its first version at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina on 12 October 2003, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in Egypt.

As cooperative efforts continued, two new panels were recently added to the exhibition. The new panels are mainly concerned with under water archeology in Alexandria, specially between the years 331 BC and 641 AD. They focus on the Alexandria Lighthouse and the ship wrecks which were sunk to the sea while trying to reach the narrows of the entrance.

The inauguration will be held on Monday 20 September, in the West Hall at the Conference center at 5:00 pm.
