The Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies, in collaboration with the Raquda Foundation for Art and Heritage, launches the "Alexandria World Heritage Simulation" initiative on Thursday, 1 August 2019, at 6:00 pm, in the BACC Lectures Hall.

The initiative aims at teaching young people the management of Alexandria’s cultural heritage through a simulation of the UNESCO World Heritage Center. It aspires to create a new generation with an ability to manage tangible and intangible heritage, in order to list Alexandria among the major world heritage sites.

Moreover, the purpose of the initiative is to guide national and international communities in understanding the value of Alexandria’s tangible and intangible heritage by learning the aspects of heritage management and preservation.

More than 100 participants, aged 16-35, will take part in the initiative which will run until the end of October 2019.

Lectures and workshops will be delivered by a number of national and international experts in the field of heritage preservation.
