Conflict Resolution in a Workshop at the BA

Alexandria—The Institute for Peace Studies (IPS), affiliated to the Suzanne Mubarak Women’s International Peace Movement (SMWIPM) and hosted at the BA, in cooperation with the Center for Dispute Resolution at the University of Maryland, organizes a workshop on conflict resolution at the BA, from 18 to 22 October 2009.
The workshop discusses technical information about conflict resolution skills and management, issues on the River Nile water and relevant agreements, and the role of water in several fields, especially agriculture. Participants will tackle the River Nile issue as a case study, as part of the IPS efforts to study and analyze different disputes and peaceful means to resolve them.
Representatives from civil society, ministries, business sector, along with academia and media men will attend the workshop.
