Venus: Earth's Twin Planet

The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) will organize on Tuesday, 8 May 2007, a lecture entitled "Venus: Earth's Twin Planet", the planet Venus is so similar to Earth in size and mass that scientists call it our "Twin Planet".
The lecture given by Ayman Ibrahim, Astronomer at the PSC, explains the journey of Venus Express spacecraft launched to Venus on the 9th November 2005, and arrived at the planet's orbit in April 2006. The lecture features a thorough exploration of Venus and a presentation of the mission of the Venus Express spacecraft.
The lecture starts at 12:00 hrs. at the BA Auditorium
