Opening of the Third International Seminar on Mosque Architecture at the BA

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina opened this morning the third International Seminar on Mosque Architecture entitled “The Evolution of Minaret Architecture in Mosques: Origins, Function, and Identity: Future Visions,” organized by the Center for Islamic Civilization Studies in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Abdullatif Alfozan Award for Mosque Architecture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The opening session was attended by Prof. Mashary bin Abdullah Al-Naim, Secretary General of the Abdullatif Al-Fawzan Award for Mosque Architecture; Ambassador Khalid Fath Al-Rahman, Director of ISESCO’s Center for Civilizational Dialogue; Dr. Marwa El-Wakil, Head of the BA Academic Research Sector; and Dr. Mohamed El-Gamal, Supervisor of the BA Center for Islamic Civilization Studies.
