The BA Director Takes Part in the Venezuela International Book Fair

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, has arrived in the Venezuelan capital Caracas as part of the official Egyptian delegation that includes more than thirty writers, editors, and officials, to take part in the opening of the Venezuela International Book Fair, which will be held from 3 to 13 July. Egypt is the guest of honor at this year's fair, marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Dr. Zayed hoped that the visit would contribute to strengthening and developing cultural ties between both countries, especially with regard to the organization of joint projects between the prestigious Bibliotheca Alexandrina and its counterparts in Venezuela.
He said that he will conduct an introductory seminar on the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, its potential, and significance for Egypt and the region.
The Library will also participate in the fair with a number of its latest publications.
