The BA and Al-Azhar Conclude the Events of "Peace and Humanity... Reality and Expectations"

The activities of the training course "Peace and Humanity... Reality and Expectations" were concluded on Monday, 21 October 2024. The course was organized by the BA Cultural Outreach Sector, in collaboration with the World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates and "Ambassadors of Al-Azhar" project.

The training course, which concluded at the headquarters of the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates, targeted faculty members and international students from Al-Azhar University.

The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA; Dr. Salama Daoud, President of Al-Azhar University; Dr. Abdel Dayem Nosseir, Secretary-General of the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates; Dr. Al-Shaimaa Al-Demerdash, Senior Researcher and Executive Director of the Heritage Book Revival Project; and a group of professors from Al-Azhar University.

Dr. Ahmed Zayed stressed that the cooperation between the BA and Al-Azhar has been ongoing since the establishment of the new Library of Alexandria, as the two institutions have collaborated on the digitization and preservation of rare manuscripts. They have also held joint conferences and seminars on cultural and intellectual issues, have disseminated, preserved and documented heritage, launched joint initiatives for intercultural dialogue, and organized various exhibitions and educational courses that highlighted the contributions of Islamic civilization and contributed to building a moderate personality.

At the end of the event, Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Dr. Salama Daoud, and Dr. Abdel Dayem Nosseir handed over certificates to the participants and took photos with them.
