BA Director Ahmed Zayed Tours the Library

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, toured the Library today, and met with the heads of sectors and departments, as well as the center directors, in order to monitor the workflow inside the establishment.
He thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his confidence, and for assigning him the management of this prestigious institution, stressing the fact that the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is a beacon of knowledge and culture in Egypt and around the world.
He also paid tribute to Dr. Ismail Serageldin and Dr. Moustafa El-Feki for their achievements, stating that he will strive to develop, build, and continue the path of success.
During his tour, Dr. Zayed visited the Main Reading Area, the Museums of Antiquities and Manuscripts, the Sadat Museum, Mohamed Hassanein Heikal and Shadi Abdel Salam Exhibitions, and the Internet Archive. He also visited the restoration laboratories, and learned about the means of conserving ancient manuscripts, such as books and documents.
