Diverse Summer Activities at the BA Manuscript Museum

The BA Manuscript Museum, in collaboration with the Children’s and Young People’s libraries, is organizing a number of activities for school students during their summer vacation. The events are going to be held from 4 June to 19 August 2018.
The activities will include a series of lectures, workshops, and presentations that target children and young people and aim to introduce them to different historical ages, starting from the emergence of Islam and the Islamic caliphate to the Ottoman Empire. Said activities will also tackle the Islamic civilization’s contribution to the development of various sciences and how it influenced Europe and other civilizations.
Each lecture will be followed by a detailed tour of the Manuscript Museum and a workshop to train students on how to make an illustrated booklet of historical events.
