The BA Arts Center is organizing a variety of concerts during the June 2018 program, where the Arts School will hold an Oriental Music Concert by its students on Friday, 1 June, in cooperation with Ibn El Balad Band and under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Hassan, to perform a collection of songs from the 70s and 80s.
Continuing to commemorate the great film director Youssef Chahine, the Arts Center Cinema Program will screen a selection of his most well-known films, such as Eskendreya Leh, Hadoota Masreya, Eskendreya Kaman w Kaman, and Alexandria – New York from Sunday, 24 June to Wednesday, 27 June. On Thursday, 28 June, the Center will host film critic Tarek El Shennawi, who will deliver a lecture titled "Chahine’s Quartet and its Connection to the History of Egypt".
The Arts School is also organizing a number of workshops for children and young people between the ages of 5 and 18, which deal with various forms of fine arts such as sculpture, clay, drawing and puppetry.
As part of the Happiness Project organized by the Arts Center over the course of a year, a number of various hospitals and institutions will be visited this month to offer different art workshops for children, in line with the Art School’s belief in the healing power of art in the treatment of children with difficult living conditions.
