The BA Planetarium Science Center (PSC) holds its annual Eratosthenes Festivity on 21 June 2010.

Eratosthenes Festivity is an annual tradition that takes place every year at the BA, Alexandria, and in Elephantine Island, Aswan. It is designed for preparatory and secondary school students, and includes a series of activities that revolve around Eratosthenes's methodology in measuring the Earth’s circumference 2000 years ago.

Moreover, other countries around the world –for example France, Argentina, Spain and Bulgaria- will join the Festivity through videoconferencing to compare measurement results. The Festivity will also comprise fieldtrips, interactive workshops, lectures, and contests.
