Performing El-Lailah El-Kebirah (The Big Night) at the BA

Alexandria—The BA Arts Center holds a Performance of the Operetta El-Lailah El-Kebirah (The Big Night) presented by the Cairo Puppet Theater, from 7 to 9 January 2010.

El-Lailah El-Kebirah is the most famous puppet operetta in Egypt, written by Salah Jahin, composed by Sayed Mekawy, and directed by Salah El-Sakka. El-Lailah El-Kebirah depicts El-Moled, a folk traditional celebration, and features several characters, such as belly dancer, photographer, clown, lion trainer, singer, and visitors from all over Egypt.

The Performance starts at 8:00 pm at the BACC Great Hall.
