Emirati Minister of Culture Visits the BA

HE Mr. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, the United Arab Emirates, and HE Ambassador Ahmed Al-Zoabi, Emirati Ambassador to Egypt, along with a senior delegation, visited the BA on Sunday, 27 October 2009, as a cultural landmark in Egypt and the entire world.
The delegation was received by Ambassador Hagar Islambouly, Head of the BA External Relations Sector, who accompanied the delegation in a tour of the Library and its different services. They visited the Manuscripts and Rare Books Museum, the Sadat Museum, the Impressions of Alexandria Exhibition (Mohamed Awad’s Collection), the Internet Archive, and the CULTURAMA.
HE Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Owais much admired the local, regional, and international projects carried out by the Library, and empathized the potential cooperation between the BA and the Emirati cultural institutions.
