The meeting was co-organized by the CULTNAT and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
Dr. Fathy Saleh, Director of the CULTNAT, stated that this ambitious project seeks to launch a unified memory for the Arab World on the Internet and that the CULTNAT will undertake the implementation of the project in cooperation with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.
Several Arab institutions participate in the project, namely: Al-Neelain University and the Antiquities and Heritage Department in Sudan, Qatar Library for Heritage, the Lebanese University, the Center for Architecture Restoration and Heritage in Syria, the Andalusia Institute for Historical Heritage in Morocco, the Libyan National Committee, the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the Palestinian National Committee, Qatar Institution for Heritage and Amir's Office of Historical Documents, the National Library of Kuwait, the Saudi Institution for Heritage, and the National Library in Mauritania.
