Issuance of Italian Version Play Zefaf Arous Al Maktabat

On the occasion of the BA’s fifth anniversary in October 2007, the publishing house Cosmo Iannone in Rome issued the Italian translated version of the play entitled Zefaf Arous Al Maktabat (Le nozze della ninfa della biblioteca/ The Wedding of the Nymph of Libraries) by critic Dr. Ahmed Etman.
The Cultural Palace Council issued the original version of the play “Le nozze della ninfa della biblioteca”, within the framework of celebrating the inauguration of the BA in October 2002 which was translated by Dr. Abdel Razak Eid, Italian language professor, Cairo University, the translation was supervised by Dr. Armando Gnisci, University professor of Comparative Literature, University of Rome.
Dr. Khaled Azab, Head of BA Media Department, stated that this reflects role of the Ancient Library within other cultures, which is still practiced after reviving it, this has been achieved over the past five years, showing a strong motivation to achieve more in the coming years.
It is worth mentioning that the play revolves in the Batalmeh era in Alexandria, where it marks Alexandria's Ancient and New Library, and the characters who contributed to the founding of each.
