The French Cultural Center Participates in the Alexandrina International Book Fair

Alexandria— The French Cultural Center in cooperation with the BA organized two roundtable discussions on the achievements of the Alexandrina International Book Fair on 27-28 February 2007 at the French Center in Nabi Danielle Street.

The first roundtable discussed "Children Books and Literature in Egypt", chaired by Reda Ramsis, Principal, St. Gabriel School. Hadiel Ghanem, Representative of El-Sherouk Children Group, Dina Al-Ghamry, Editor, Birdie Publishing House, Riham El-Seid Khalifa, Children's Library at the BA, Nazly Farid, Mediatheque, French Cultural Center, Safinaz Nabil, Mere de Dieu, and Agnes Debiage, Elderado Book Store participated in the discussion.

The second roundtable discussed "Translation Problems", chaired by Donia Abu Rasheed, Director of Books and Translation Department, Cairo French Cultural Center. Dr. Hayam Abu El-Hussein, Professor, Translation and Comparative Languages, Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, Dr. Doha Sheha, Professor, French Department, Alexandria University, Dr. Nadia Andraws, Professor of Literature and Translation, Alexandria University, Dr. Rawya Sadek, English and French Translator and Editor at the Middle East News Agency, and Heba Refaat, Specialized in Teaching Translation participated in the discussion.
