Environmental Considerations while Constructing New Areas

Alexandria — the Youth for Sustainable Development and Better Understanding Program organized by the Center for Special Studies and Programs is holding a series of lectures on education, environment, and population growth. In this context, the CSSP is organizing on Tuesday, 11 July 2006, a lecture entitled Environmental Considerations while Constructing New Areas by Dr. Salah Soliman, Professor of Pesticide Chemistry and Toxicology, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University. In the lecture, Dr. Salah will discuss the construction in new areas, the implied positive environmental effects in alleviating the burden on the central population areas, and the negative effects in harming the environment in the new areas. These lectures aim at developing the capacities of youth, and training them on preserving natural resources using scientific techniques.

The lecture will start at 17:00 hrs and will be open to the public.
