The BA Antiquities Museum is organizing this exhibition at the Museum’s entrance in the B1 level. The exhibition showcases a collection of panels illustrating Sinai’s role in the emergence of the alphabet. The collection also emphasizes Sinai’s position as a cultural meeting point between the ancient civilizations of the near East in Asia and Africa and as the gateway from which the Egyptian civilization sprung forth to intermingle with other ancient civilizations. This exhibition has a special significance, for it features the results of the archaeological excavations carried out in the Sinai Peninsula by the archaeological mission led by the University of Bonn and the Supreme Council of Antiquities in Serabit el-Khadim, Sinai.
